Well done and congratulations to two Weir & Carmichael employees who ran the Liverpool Half Marathon on Sunday 17th March!
Kevin Thornton and Cassandra O’Prey did great in thier first half marathon, running at an amazing 1 hour 55 minutes and 2 hours 18 minutes respectively.
Cassie O’Prey states “Taking part in the Liverpool Half Marathon was a great achievement for me. It was so inspiring to see so many people raise money for thier chosen charities. Thank you to Weir & Carmichael and everyone who sponsored us and supported our charity, Zoes Place.”
Cassie and Kevin were running to raise money for Zoes Place, a hospice for terminally ill babies based in Liverpool. They were sponsored and managed to raise a whopping £800 which is the highest amount raised for a Weir & Carmichael fundraising activity.
