Weir & Carmichael begun trading
Weir & Carmichael started in 1955 when Clifford Williams bought a hessian sack business from the Carmichael family. Clifford, who had strong links with the mills selling jute and twill bags, built on this to establish a stronger business supplying hessian sacks to businesses in and around Liverpool.

Nearly 20 years ago, we expanded into the recycling sector supplying a range of kerbside recycling bags and sacks to local councils and waste management companies throughout the UK.

We Went Online!
In 2012 the first website for Britwrap went live. Since then we have redeveloped both our website and product portfolio. Our online shop now sells specialist protective products including kitchen worktop carriers, roll up mattress bags, sofa covers, sack truck covers, TV covers, and white goods covers.
